About this experience

Come, drink tea, and express yourself through a candle-making activity with Melanated Mourning and Blow Candle Co. At this workshop we will give space for open conversation on grief, engage in a tea ceremony to honor their memories, and use creativity as a way to process grief and healing. Please bring your favorite tea cup, and feel free to bring pictures and any items of loved ones or life events you choose to celebrate and honor. A portion of proceeds from this event will go to Hearts2Heal, a local organization providing mental wellness support for the Black, Brown and military- connected communities. https://www.hearts2heal.org

Nina's mission is to provide radical and authentic death doula services through the use of rituals, compassionate companionship, and unbiased support to all communities while centering survivors of abuse and Black and LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and families. Nina believes that grief and healing support should be inclusive and centered on the unique experiences and needs of those who have historically been excluded and oppressed.

Nina firmly believes that grieving is good work towards emotional, spiritual, and mental liberation to living life unapologetically as a whole human.
